First up, we have…
Laura Bartlett, Founding Editor & Publisher of House of Coco
Laura is the award-winning founding editor of global magazine House of Coco. Laura built her business from the ground up without any investment in her twenties. Today, she works alongside a team of people to achieve the goal of becoming the number one travel magazine for millennials.
Laura most certainly is a leading voice for young female entrepreneurs.
Lawrence Jones MBE, Founder and CEO of UKFast
Lawrence is the CEO of web hosting firm UKFast. With more than 30 years’ business experience, Jones is at the helm of a portfolio worth £350m including a cybersecurity firm, a Swiss ski hotel and a construction business.
Jones’ unique approach to employee engagement has earned him plaudits from across the country, while his philanthropy has seen him transform the lives of thousands of people by helping to raise millions of pounds through charity campaigns.
His commitment to bridging the skills gap and redressing the gender balance in the technology industry has seen UKFast move into the education space, and will soon be opening a digital-focussed high school and committing to training teachers as well as pupils.
Lawrence’s entrepreneurial blog is read by over 200,000 people every month.
Gail Jones, Managing Director of UKFast
Gail is the co-founder and Managing Director of UKFast. With close to two decades’ experience in technology, she manages UKFast’s relationships with suppliers and continuously assesses its best practice. She drives the creation of software to streamline internal processes and increase functionality for clients.
Gail has been instrumental in the business since its inception, taking on a number of roles as the business has grown.
UKFast works with 60,000 young people across Greater Manchester to encourage more young people to choose a career in tech, which is something that Gail has been strongly involved in. Gail was recently shortlisted for CRN’s Women in Channel Awards.
Richard Gregory, non-executive Director of Fluid Digital and Chair of Tech North Advisory Board
Richard is the Chairman of tech companies Ruler Analytics and Ash.tv, non-executive Director of Fluid Digital and co-founder of SAScon – a digital marketing conference. Heralding from “Silicon Ramsbottom” he is an ardent supporter of the digital and tech industry in the North of England.
With more than 20 years of digital expertise, including membership of the Manchester Digital Council, Richard now advises agencies and startups on marketing and growth strategies.
