Awards up for grabs, previous winners and what’s new in 2018!
Posted on September 7, 2018 by Digital Entrepreneur Awards
With just one week to go until the final deadline (midnight 14th September), I’m sure there’s a DEA award category that’s just right for you.
Plus, with the option to apply for as many awards as you wish – you have everything to gain and nothing to lose!
So, let’s have a look at some previous winners and which awards are up for grabs:
Online Retailer of the Year 2017
WINNER – Forever Unique
“We have only concentrated on our online platform in the last six months, so it’s a big achievement for all of us and for our team… it’s just the start of a new journey.”
What are our judges looking for with this award?
As part of the explosive eCommerce industry, online retailers are never at rest. New investments in innovation are needed just to stay afloat.
The judges will be looking for an innovative and successful online retailer who has invested in pioneering marketing and development methods which surpass even the most gruelling industry standards. The result of your successful strategy and investment will have contributed not only to your success but to pushing the whole industry forward.
Digital Innovation in the Public Sector 2017
WINNER – National Institute for Health and Care Excellence
“It’s just really nice to think that we went into this trying to get good products to patients much more quickly and all the hard work that has gone into it. That it’s actually been recognised is fantastic!”
With this award our judges are looking for public sector bodies actively embracing technology. The change can be as simple as a new app or process, as long as it has proven results and shows innovative thinking.
Technology should make all of our lives easier and more efficient but entries in this category should be genuinely life changing.
The UK public sector has one of the trickiest technology challenges of all. The sector must be moving with the times, making services more accessible, saving time and money while protecting customer data and appealing to a mass audience.Top of Form
eCommerce Developer of the Year 2017
Winner – smartebusiness
“We won the Digital eCommerce Developer Award! It is a recognition of the 15 years of pressure we have all been under. I was saying it’s a bit like pushing a boulder up a hill, you can’t let go, you have to keep going and tonight is a recognition of that and thank you very much!”
Are you the developer or development team behind some of the web’s most successful eCommerce sites?
We’re looking to reward the developers working behind the scenes to pioneer new techniques and systems at the heart of the e-services industry, creating the extraordinary transactional websites that make the UK’s eCommerce industry shine on an international stage. Developers: it’s time to get the recognition you deserve.Top of Form
Digital Business of the Year (Medium to Large)
WINNER – Master of Malt
“We’re a small group of incredibly dedicated, hard-working and plucky individuals. It demonstrates that a small group of determined people can achieve truly fantastic things. Well done to the team, we’re all incredibly proud!”
What’s your business doing to go above and beyond the rest and how can you prove what your business has done to make you the DEA Digital Business of 2018?
Our judges want to see a clear indication of success. This award is not about an individual piece of work but about showing consistency throughout the year and a collective entrepreneurial approach to business. It is as much about the company’s relationship with digital as it is about the successful projects themselves.
These are just a small selection of the awards we have on offer and the fantastic winners from the DEAs 2017!
This year we have introduced four new awards to reflect the ever-changing digital and technology industry. We have the Best Use of Mobile and IoT, Best Use of VR/AR, Tech for Good and Tech Platform of the Year to be won for the very first time!
Good luck! Our expert judges can’t wait to read your entries.
