We’ve Extended Our Deadline…
Posted on July 25, 2017 by Alistair Hardaker
There’s a whole host of understandable reasons for having not yet entered our awards. With over a decade of experience in hosting these awards, we understand that the most deserving winners are often the busiest and most humble. But we’re here to tell you that you might be wrong. In fact, this could be your year. Here’s why:
You don’t have enough time
Good news! We’ve extended our deadline to Friday 11th August, which gives you a little more wiggle room to get your entry submitted. If you’ve been putting it off, this is your golden opportunity. We’re keeping things simple with the entry process too; with only three questions to answer, the process takes a matter of minutes. With such a short entry process and another two weeks to enter, it’s time to seize the day. In the words of Rita Mae Brown: “If it weren’t for the last minute, nothing would get done”.
The competition is too strong
The Digital Entrepreneur Awards are not a popularity contest, and our judges consider every component of a successful online business, from enigmatic leadership to forward-thinking development and cutting-edge creative. What matters to our judges is not the size of the company, but your contribution to pushing the industry forward. Last year, 2J Commerce took a chance despite not feeling ready. They entered the Consumer Engagement Award and won, and after the ceremony said: “Everyone’s as shocked as we are with this one!”
You don’t fit into any category
It’s our aim to recognise everyone in the digital sector. We have awards for creatives, developers, marketers and business leaders; every cog in the machine of digital success. We also realise that the digital industry is ever-changing, which is why some of our awards are designed to recognise work so cutting-edge that it doesn’t yet fit into a category. Last year’s winners Gencia Media said: “When it is something like the public sector, it’s sometimes under recognised and a ceremony like this – bringing it to light – is amazing”.
